Oh Hello Something to Dream About

Wait, is that two of my favorite things in one sentence? With the word "course" at the end? Um. Yes please.

Where do I sign up?

(Oh and come up with $5000, and permission to take a three week holiday right in the middle of my surgical rotation!)

I just have to tell myself: it is good to know that these things are out there and remind myself of that when the going gets tough here in textbook-land.

Main & dessert courses?

Hells ya!

On my Himalayan med trip 2 years ago I actually gained weight (despite hiking from village to village) because the food was so good (and so plentiful!) We even had chocolate cake made from scratch at 14000 ft for someone's birthday!

Haha, that's funny you should mention that. When I hiked Kilimanjaro back in the summer, I too gained a pound or two, for the exact same reasons (no homemade cake, though).

See, there is the perfect career for you.

I want to know what they mean by space is strictly limited.

Sounds like they smack people with a ruler, nun style.

Oh man! That course is definitely something I'd be interested in taking. Is that offered through your school or through an outside program?

IANT--Yep. We sang a Capella (mostly show tunes) around the fire and ate chocolate cake (except the ones with altitude sickness) and it was divine.

Not fitting into my prana pants when I got home, not divine. But worth it!

POP--Yep, it's true. Though, full time expedition med is not overly conducive to husband/family. I guess a lot of full-time gigs aren't though. It will DEFINITELY be an area I work in though!

Flustered--I WISH that course was offered through my school. Sadly, nope. We can't even get credit for international rotations--everything we do has to be on our own time (i.e summer/Christmas holidays) and by our own expense.

It's just a CMA course. [sad face]

Oops, CME course.
