When Study Notes Go Wrong
My attempt at drawing a cross section of the spinal cord. Because I am such a terrible sketch artist (hard to believe, right?) it is a major cognitive event for me to draw something---thus my recall for drawn notes is incredible.
This one however did nothing to improve my understanding of the spinal cord. Mostly because it resembled a headless obese man with a bikini top on.
At that point I put down the pencil and picked up the mandolin. You just have to know when to admit defeat.

My first thought when I saw this was, "Why is ABB posting a drawing of a pair of boobs on her blog?"
You're still far more talented than I in the artistic department, my dear.
I thought it was a bikini top on someone's bottom (with an arm coming out).
Profile of an elephant, trunk to the left, with a large bra draped across it.
Wow. You've added a new drawing to the Rorschach test.
I thought it was a butt, with a bikini top on it! My drawing is not much better...I still think back to my terrible drawings of cell life in Bio. Although I have to admit, I do remember that the best!
There's a reason I buy the anatomy colouring books! I was unjustifiably proud of my free-hand drawing of a heart though - you're right that there's something different about drawing it yourself!
Hahah, ok good, glad to know it's not just that my mind is in the gutter!
Interesting that more than one person thought it was a BUTT with a bikini on top of it. Headless obese man maybe but BUTT with bikini top on it? That is just crazy!!! :P
Grump--Ok, I see the legs now...goodie--I can make Rorschach images if medicine doesn't pan out!
Incisions--Yeah, if I just color it it doesn't seem to work...some reason I need to draw it as well. Haven't attempted the heart yet but I am sure it'll come out looking like a stripper doing an awkward pose or something...
LOL - Love it! Total obese man bending over with a bikini top over his butt. Now you just need to post some of your music and we'll understand that your artistic abilities lie elsewhere.
