Currently Reading

It is seriously blowing my mind.

And keeping me motivated to stay in medical school. More on this when I actually finish it.

Do it do it do it.

Sooooo good. It is reminding me that if I want to be a surgeon I will be (and that doesn't make me a bad/selfish/evil person who doesn't care about "lifestyle").

Bonus is that it is written by a journalist (not a doctor) so it actually explains the procedures quite well. I gained a new understanding of congenital heart malformations and the procedures done to fix them.

Seriously, it's brill.

Not saying doctors don't explain procedures well *cough* just saying that a lay person had to get it, then explain it to others--he really seems to grasp the anatomy well. Better than me, for sure!

I will definitely check that out! I just finished "The Real Grey's Anatomy". Also by a journalist, comparing a real life surgical residency program to the television show. It was very good actually.

That whole "lifestyle" vs what you want to do conundrum.... Must check out the book though.
