Irishisms of the Day

Overheard today in clinical skills lab:

"And what's your own name then?"

Apparently that is more polite than asking someone "what is your name".

Noted.

Exactly!!! I was totally cracking up when told why one would say it that way.

The other thing I love is the repeating of intention at the end of a sentence:

"I'm going to the gym now so I am".
