The closest thing was when he gave me a coin in front of my classmates so I could call my mom and tell her I was not fit to be a doctor.

Apparently he was being kind to me. To others, he opened the windows of his office so they could jump encouraged by him.

(I do still keep that coin, maybe one day I could return it in a cool way)ertwrohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06680570742944425375noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3138625163039637769.post-5510944476222217922010-08-20T18:21:36.565-06:002010-08-20T18:21:36.565-06:00Grump--You just weren't kicking back with the ...Grump--You just weren't kicking back with the right orthos then! :)

NP--Thank you! I leave for AB on Monday, then the big flight 'home' to Ireland on Thursday. Summer whizzes by when you live in the hospital!! :)

OMDG--hahahah--well yes I *do* love wearing a jaunty fabric cap at work everyday...but really, I think I am too inherently lazy and uncompetitive to be a surgeon. The work is fascinating but I just don't think I am cut-throat (pun intended) enough for the politics of it. Ha! I will pass on to Tobie that he won't mind having a wife-in-absentia. :)

I start on the 30th of Aug. Just like that. Argh. I am seriously in need of a holiday now after living and breathing the hospital all summer. Sigh. Oh well. It was an amazing learning curve and $$ was made so.

P.S Ortho kicks ass. (I still cannot believe that I am capable of making that statement after so much anti-sx and anti-ortho sentiments in the past...)Albinoblackbearhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15222730484450544498noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3138625163039637769.post-28761196517954460412010-08-20T13:31:21.159-06:002010-08-20T13:31:21.159-06:00You're so gonna be a surgeon..... Just look at...You're so gonna be a surgeon..... Just look at how happy you are in that picture. And the cute little hats actually work for you preventing you from having to don the bouffant cap! It's almost a sure thing, I'm telling you.

Tobie won't mind. I promise.

When do you start school again.OMDGhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17937425894428802591noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3138625163039637769.post-81906710111471569392010-08-20T10:35:49.843-06:002010-08-20T10:35:49.843-06:00Have a safe trip back to Ireland and a good year i...Have a safe trip back to Ireland and a good year in school.NPOhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13669816146120005101noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3138625163039637769.post-58681792001302978372010-08-20T06:15:56.030-06:002010-08-20T06:15:56.030-06:00Popsicles!
